Pet Policies We have many apartments, duplexes, and houses which welcome responsible pet owners and their pets. We do not charge pet rent, but we require an additional refundable pet deposit - equal to one month's rent. Please speak with the property manager if you need to make payment arrangements. Responsible pet owners, who leave their units in the same condition as originally leased, should have no problems in recieving both security & pet deposit back at the end of lease. We reserve the right to not allow certain pets, or a number of pets, at our discression. We require each pet to be registered/approved through our pet application. Dogs: We do not typically discriminate on size, breed, or weight. We do however firmly require that the dog(s) are (A) Not Aggressive and (B) Not Noisy. We also require that all dogs are kept up-to-date on vaccinations and need a copy of the vaccination record for our files. If you have a dog which is fearful or unsure of staff, we require that tenants kennel their dogs when they know staff is coming to the property. Dogs must be on leash (or behind fence) any time they are out of the unit. Dog waste MUST be picked up, wrapped, and disposed of in an exterior garbage. Cats: We require that ALL male cats be neutered prior to tenancy. Cats should be kept up-to-date on vaccinations and a copy of the vaccination record will be required for our files. Litter boxes must be kept in a ventilated area, and kept clean. A properly attended litter box should have very little odor. Litter boxes should not be kept in small closets or in cedar closets. Fish/SMALL Reptiles/Birds/Small Mammals: Number of animals should be discussed with Green Acres prior to approval. Ferrets may be required to be descented prior to tenancy. Vaccination records are required where applicable. Exotic Pets/Large mammals: Most exotic pets and other large mammals are not permitted. If you have questions regarding a certain pet, please speak with the property manager. No pets (birds, cats, dogs, or other animals) without written permission of Green Acres Property Management. All pets must be documented in the lease (or as an addendum) and a pet deposit must be provided. Unauthorized pets in unit will result in forfeiture of security deposit and removal of animal Any excessive barking, scratching, & meowing or other noises from pets, which results in complaints from fellow tenants, could result in the removal of your pet from the lease and premises, and loss of half of your pet deposit. Pick up your pet waste and dispose of it (wrapped) in the outside dumpster, not doing so is unsanitary and discourteous. Regular failure to dispose of your pet’s waste could result in the removal of your pet from the lease and premises, and loss of half of your pet deposit. Pets are to be on leash at all times when not within the apartment. Pets are not to be left unattended when outside of the apartment. |
